This ’90s Shorts Trend Will Be Everywhere This Summer

This being the year of 90s revival, brands are looking for new iterations to play in the decade. One such 90’s trend we are so excited to endorse is the printed short.

A Kelly Kapowski favorite, this playful trend has made a serious comeback, if its sell-out rate at ASOS, ShopBop, and Reformation is any indication.  And with the warmer months ahead of us, the trend is arriving right in time for summatime.  That said, we’re well aware that wearing printed shorts can be a bit of a head-scratcher when it comes to styling.  You want to pair them with pieces that are the right color and proportions so as to be playful yet still sophisticated.  To show you how it’s done, we leave you with our best-printed shorts advice: When in doubt, simply pair your shorts with a solid color top.  If you rather don a printed top with printed shorts, then it is good to wear a more subtle print on either the top or the bottom so that your outfit doesn’t appear too embellished or loud.
